Biography
Elias Long was born about 1839 in Pennsylvania of John Long, age 44 and Elizabeth 40.
In 1850 they were living in Shenango, Lawrence, Pennsylvania, USA. (Elias's siblings in 1850 were Joseph Long 20, John Long 17, Margaret Long 15. Elizabeth Long 8, Nancy Long 4, Maria Long 2).

In 1860 at age 21 he was still living in his parents' household, working on their farm in (New Castle P.O.,) Pollock, Lawrence, Pennsylvania. His sibling were named: Margt Long 24, Sarah Long 18, Nancy Long 15, Adda Long 12.

An Elias Long married a Margaret McKeever in 1863, died 20 Feb 1895 and was buried in New Castle. Lawrence County, Pennsylvania.

In 1870 in New Castle. Lawrence County, Pennsylvania we find an Elias Long 30 with wife Margaret Long 30 and children
Ella Long 5, John Long 3 and Garse (sic) Long 1, female (Grace?)

In 1880 Elias and Margaret are both 41, living on Monrovia St. in New Castle and Elias is a grocer; children are Ella Long 15,
