Biography

Annie S. (Looney) Peden (c.1900-unknown)

Annie was the eleventh and youngest child and seventh daughter of Janie (Casteel) and William Looney (though William had older children from his previous marriage). Annie was born in Iron City, Lawrence County, Tennessee, around 1900.

On 6 November 1917 Annie married John Cabiness Peden in Lawrence County, Tennessee.

They had four children:

• Benton Penden (b. 1920)
  
• Tommy Clifford Penden (b. 1922)
  
• Roy D. Penden (b. 1926)
  
• Janie C. "Dimples" Penden (b. 1930)
  

No records have yet been found concerning Annie's death or burial. However, her husband John remarried in 1934. So, assuming that John and Annie didn't divorce, Annie must have died sometime between 1930 (she can be found in the 1930 census) and 1934.
