William HOUGH II was born 17 Oct 1657 in New London, Connecticut[2][3] the third son and sixth child of William Hough (1619 Chester, Cheshire, England – 10 Aug 1683 New London, New London, Connecticut) and Sarah Calkins (6 May 1627 Waverton, Cheshire, England - 16 Oct 1683 New London, Connecticut).
Children:
Only one child, Ann, is found in New London birth records, but all but one of the others (William) have baptisimal records found in the records of the First Church of New London.
Anna born on Dec 23, 1683 in New London, Connecticut[2] married Thomas Willey 16 Dec 1708 in New London

Elizabeth baptized at New London on May 12, 1695[4]. On 3 Jun 1728 she married James Burnham[5] son of Lieut. Thomas Burham and Lydia Pingree. Children include James and William
Samuel (baptized at New London , May 9, 1697) married Kezia Wood on 26 Feb 1718 in New London
Abigail christened at First Church of Christ, New London on May 28, 1699[6] may be the Abigail Hough who married Samuel Gridley on 21 Aug 1723 in Farmington. There is another Abigail Hough who was a daughter of Jonathan HOUGH who is shown as the wife of Samuel Gridley. More investigation is needed.
Sarah (baptized at New London March 30, 1701[7]) married Thomas Hinson July 09, 1723 in Norwich, New London, Connecticut
Martha (baptized at New London August 1, 1703). She married JERIMIAH GIFFORD September 21, 1730 in Norwich, New London, CT.
Mary (Mara), (baptized at New London, November 5, 1705[8]). She married ELIPHELET WOOD October 02, 1729 in Norwich, New London, CT.
