Hannah Loving was born about 1768 [1][2] in Virginia.[2]
She married James Allen about 1790 in Wilkes County, North Carolina.
On 22 February 1843, Hannah Allen, age 75, a citizen of Hopkins County Kentucky gave testimony in court that she was the sister of Anna Davis and knows that her sister married William Davis in November 1780 in Wilkes County, North Carolina having been present at the ceremony. This testimony was part of the pension application for brother-in-law William Davis.[1]
In the 1850 U.S. Census, Hannah Allen was recorded as 82-years old, living in Hopkins County, Kentucky with 49-year old son-in-law Stephen Akins and 43-year old daughter Nancy Akins. In addition, Eliza Akins (age 24, born in Tennessee), Elizabeth Akins (age 22, born in Alabama), Lucretia Akins (age 20. born in Alabama), William H. Akins (age 3, born in Kentucky) and Lena Akins (female, age 1, born in Kentucky) lived in the household. [2]
