Benjamin Lower was born in Tulpehocken Twp., Berks Co., PA on on December 24 1786 - Baptised of February 6, 1787 Per Church Records. He was the son of Christian & Elizabeth Ludwig Lauer Lower.
He first married Susanna Miller. They were parents of Sarah (George Smith) & Susan (William Smith) (Not brothers). Susanna died. He then married Rebecca Catherine Beckley- 1816- in Berks Co., PA. About 1820 - the family arrived in Coshocton Co., OH. They became the parents of David Benjamin (Leah Miller), Daniel Benjamin (Leah Moore), Isaac Henry (Mary Croft), Mary Elizabeth (Daniel Levengood/Leavengood), Jacob Benjamin (Anna Susanna Dietz/Deetz), Rebecca Catherine (Christian Christopher Fisher), Hannah (Died at 16yrs), Catherine (Levi Deetz/Dietz), Benjamin (Arminda Ramsey), Mahalah Mae Mary (Cousin - Jeremiah Lower) and Rachael (Jeremiah Howell) Lower. In the reading of Benjamin's Will - His First Two Daughters were covered - To his remaining SIX Daughters - Each was to receive A COW - A Chest and a FULL BED !!
Catherine Beckley Lower had died at the age of 47yrs in 1843 - Benjamin died in Crawford Twp. in 1856 at the age of 69yr 7mo 25dy. He was a farmer. Benjamin and Catherine are interred at Zion United Church of Christ Cemetery. Buried near Father Christian Lower - Across the road from the church. Submitted by GG Grandson - Peter (Lower) Rodgers
