Biography
John Lower was born July 16, 1766 in Palatine, Montgomery County, New York. He was the son of Conrad and Anna (Fehling) Lower. [1]
He married Magdalena "Lany" Phillips. Their children were: Lany Lower Whitford, Conrad, John, Nicholas, Peter, and Henry Lower, Margaret "Peggy" Lower Dunbar, Hannah Lower Phillips, Elizabeth "Betsey" Lower Yates, Mary Lower Bettinger.
Lana Lower was a daughter of John, one of the first children born in the town of Manlius, and he was a son of Conrad Lower, one of the first settlers of that town, coming from the Mohawk country. John Lower died March 31, 1848 in Manlius, Onondaga County, New York. [2] He is buried in Christ Church Cemetery, Manlius, Onondaga Co., NY. [3]
