Biography

The Lucas family came from England, the genealogy, having been traced back to about the year 1600. The family became noted as large land-holders in Goshen and Middletown, Connecticut. In 1733, Thomas Lucas, and also his son, Thomas Lucas, Jr., were residents of Middletown and owners of large tracts of land on the west bank of the Connecticut River. [1]

Thomas Lucas, Sr. died October 13, 1756, in Middletown and is buried int he Old Farm Hill Cemetery, in Middletown. [2]
