Amelia "Million" Lucas was born in 1768, in Virginia, a daughter of Thomas Lucas and Eleanor (Tillet) Lucas. Amelia married Thomas Cockrill/Cockerill of Loudoun county, Virginia, a son of Jeremiah Cockrill and Martha (Linton) Cockrill. Amelia's husband is a veteran of the American Revolutionary War and his DAR records refer to her as Amelia. [1] Her nickname is "Million" and sometimes "Millie." She is referred to as "Million" when she and her husband sell their rights to land owned by her paternal grandmother in Bladen county, North Carolina. Amelia died June 1, 1841, in New Martinsburg, Fayette county, Ohio and is buried in the Walnut Creek Cemtery. [4]
