Research notes

  • Birth -using surname Mulligan not found
  • Marriage index shows Annie's official name to be Mulligan, although the Marriage notice in the paper clearly shows she was known as Ludlow.
  • POSSIBLE death: Mother only - father's name not included. Could be that the informant didn't know the father's name, or that she was born out of wedlock. NSW BDM Death 1681/1976 PIPER LAVINIA ANNIE PRISCILLA KAY
  • SPECULATION: Trove shows articles relating to domestic violence in the first week of Priscilla and James Mulligan's marriage. If Priscilla was the mother, this may have been a reason for giving the child up??
