Biography

Sir Robert Lundin (or Lundie) of Balgonie, was Lord High Treasurer of Scotland during the reign of James IV.^[1]

Origins

Robert was the son of:

• Robert Lundin or Lundie, second son of Sir John Lundin of Lundin;^[1][2]
• and Helen, dau. of Sir Andrew Sibbald of Balgonie.

His paternal grandfather John Lundin, acquired the lands of Balgonie; while his maternal grandfather Andrew Sibbald, was sheriff of co. Fife during 1457 and 1466.^[1]

Lundy (2015), citing Clan MacFarlane, asserts that Robert's wife was Jean Lindsey, dau. of:

• Patrick Lindsey, 4th Lord of Lindsey of the Byres,^[3]
