Nancy was the daughter of James and Mary Lundy. She married Rev. William Sutton, a Wesleyan Methodist preacher. She died February 24, 1897 and was buried at the Lundys Lane Cemetery, Niagara Falls, Ontario.[1]
In the Census of Canada, 1871, William and Nancy are recorded living in Somerville Township, Victoria County, where William was preaching at the time. Nancy's age is given as 52, which would place her DOB as 1819 rather than 1810. Edna Armelia Sutton (26), born in the U.S., was living with them.[2]
William, born about 1815 in Stamford Township, died May 27, 1879, in Pelham Township, Welland, Ontario. The physician noted on the death certificate was Dr. Glasgow, Nancy's nephew, and the informant was A.J.C. Lundy, her brother.[3]
In the 1891 Census of Canada, Nancy is recorded as an 81-year-old widow living in Stamford Township.[4]
