Janus de Lusignan, King of Cyprus was born between 1374 and 1375. He was the son of James de Lusignan, King of Cyprus and Helisia von Braunschweig-Grubenhagen. He married, firstly, Angelsia Visconti, daughter of Bernabò Visconti, Duca di Milano and Regina Beatrice della Scala, in January 1400. He and Angelsia Visconti were divorced between 1407 and 1409. He married, secondly, Charlotte de Bourbon-La Marche in 1411. He died in 1432. He succeeded to the title of King Janus of Cyprus in 1398.[1]
