Mary E. Luttrell was born in October 1870 in Lincoln County, Tennessee. She was the daughter of George Luttrell and Martha Ramsey. She passed away after 1900 and before August 1903 , probably in Chickasaw Nation, Indian Territory (Oklahoma).
Birth
No birth record has been found. 1900 census gives birth date as October 1869. However, the 1870 census for George and Martha Luttrell, Mary's parents, lists no children. 1880 census lists Mary as age 9 as of 1 June 1880. Mary must have been born after 1 June 1870. So assuming the month is correct, will give Mary's birth date as October 1870.
Estimated date of marriage based on birth date of first child, Charles W. Sweet, who was born 10 November 1887.
Death
No death record or burial site found. Someone entered death date as 15 May 1901 (Indian City, Payne County, Oklahoma) in an online family tree and everyone else copied it. No documentation presented and I can't confirm the date or place of death. Mary not found on the 1910 census; last found on 1900 census in Chickasaw Nation, Indian Territory (after 1907 Marshall County, Oklahoma).
Mary passed away between 1 Jun 1900 (1900 census) and August 1903 when husband, John F. Sweet, married second wife, Mrs. Carrie Moots.
If anyone has documentation for Mary's birth, marriage or death, it would be appreciated.
Mary, age 9, is with parents George and Martha Jane, and siblings Julia, George, Jr., and William.
