Biography

Dora A. Luttrell was born in June 1863 in Lincoln County, Tennessee. She was the daughter of Newton Luttrell and Juliana Howard. She passed away in August 1958 in Potter County, Texas^[1] and is buried in Mobeetie Cemetery, Wheeler County, Texas.

Newton is still farming. His land is now valued at $6000 and personal property at $2000. In the household are his wife, Juliana, and children Sarah Jane, James B., John Dee, Dora Ann, Newton Larkin, Hiram Hezekiah, and Jake Pruitt Luttrell.

Wylie and Dora married about 1882 in Arkansas. They left Arkansas after the birth of Thomas in 1889 in Arkansas and before the birth of daughter, Alta, in 1893 in Oklahoma. The family has not been located on the 1900 census. They were probably living in Oklahoma in Indian Territory, which might account for not being found on the census.

In the household are children Oscar, Ernest, Thomas, Alta, Wiley Lee, Elizabeth, Icah Dora, and Jadie E. Roberts
