Biography

Mary Jane Lutz was born in Mar 1828 in Elgin, Albert, New Brunswick, Canada, daughter of Peter Lutz (1785 - ~1872) and Elizabeth (Leaman) Lutz (~1792 - ~1881).

Her siblings were:

  1. Sarah Eunice (Lutes) Price (1817 - 1899)
  2. Margaret (Lutes) Wilson (1817 - 1903)
  3. Peter Lutz (1822 - 1870)
  4. Sarah Ann (Lutes) Leaman (1830 - 1914)

Mary married William Clifford Steeves (born in Hillsborough, Albert in 1828; died in Lower Coverdale, Coverdale, Albert on 26 Feb 1892), son of Isaac Steeves and Ann Smith. Their children were:

  1. Chesley Robert Steeves (1846 - 1932)
  2. Rhoda A (Steeves) Stewart (1861 - 1914)
  3. Sarah L. Steeves (~1867 - ~1920).

Mary died on 1 May 1921 in Lower Coverdale aged ~93. She is buried in Wilmot Memorial Cemetery, Lower Coverdale.[1]
