He married Marguerite d' Enghien, daughter of Sir Louis d' Enghien, Comte de Brienne & Conversano, Duke of Athens, Sire d'Enghien & Gouy-sur-Pieton and Giovanna di Sanseverino, circa 1380.[4]
They had 3 sons (Sir Pierre, Comte de St. Pol, Conversano, & Brienne; Louis, Bishop of Théroueanne, Archbishop of Rouen, Chancellor of France, Cardinal; & Jean, Comte de Ligny, Seigneur de Guise & Beaurevoir) and 2 daughters (Catherine; & Jeanne, wife of Louis de Ghistelles, & of Jean, Vicomte de Melun, Burgraf von Ghent).[5]
Sir Jean II de Luxembourg, Count of Conversano & Brienne, Seigneur de Beauvoir, Richebourg, d'Enghien, & Gouy-sur-Piéton died before 2 July 1397 at Italy.[6]
