Mary Ellen Lynch was born on June 21, 1860, in Mississippi, the daughter of John M. Lynch and Mary UNKNOWN. She married Joseph Pascal Potts on November 30, 1881, in Alcorn, Mississippi. She died on February 23, 1963, in Sheffield, Alabama, at the age of 102, and was buried in Corinth, Mississippi.
