Patrick [Lyon] (said to be aged 17 years in July 1597.^[1]), 9th Lord Glamis later 1st Earl of Kinghorne, 1st son of John [Lyon], 8th Lord Glamis, by his wife and first cousin once removed Hon Elizabeth Meldrum, widow of William Meldrum of Fyvie and 2nd dau. of William [Abernethy], 5th Lord Saltoun of Abernethy.^[2]

He married, on Jun 1595, Lady Anne Murray (d. 27 Feb 1618), 1st dau. of John [Murray], 1st Earl of Tullibardine, by his wife Hon Catharine Drummond, 4th dau. by his second wife of David [Drummond], 2nd Lord Drummond.^[3] They had issue:

2. James, of Auldbar, MP, d.s.p. by 13 Aug 1641^[3]
3. Patrick, d. young^[3]
