Biography

Jonathan was born about 1706, in the family home in Greenwich, "The Thomas Lyon House", built in 1695 and still standing. He was the son of Thomas Lyon and Abigail Ogden.

He married Elizabeth Mead/Meade in 1727 at Fairfield, Connecticut - parents of Jonathan II, Elizabeth, Elnathan, Israel, Phebe, David, Peter and Naomi Lyon.

He was a Veteran of the Revolutionary War.

He passed away in 1786 and is buried at Middle Patent Rural Cem, Bedord, Westchester, Massachusetts, USA.
