Biography

Matthias was born in 1771 to Daniel Lyon and Eunice Fitz Randolph. He married Elizabeth Fitz Randolph on April 8th, 1794. They had nine children together. Elizabeth died in 1833, leaving Matthias a widower. He moved at some point to live with his daughter, Beula (Lyon) Spalding's family in Blackberry, IL, where the census found him in 1850. He died of old age in Owasso, MI in 1860.
