Daniel was born on 22 February 1734 in Woodstock, Windham, Connecticut, British Colonial America.[1]He was the son of Daniel Lyon and Priscilla Morse.[2]
Daniel married Prudence May on 23 November 1756 in Woodstock.[3]Their children were Parley (1757-1777), Daniel, Dorothy, Priscilla, Prudence, Roxalina, Hannah(1771-1776), Benjamin, Molly (1773-1776), Clarissa, a second Parley, a second Molly, a second Hannah and Abiel Lyon.
Daniel is mentioned in his father's will written 20 December 1766. The family was living in Woodstock in 1790.[4]
Captain Daniel Lyon died (age 86) on 20 June 1820 in East Woodstock, Woodstock, Windham, Connecticut, United States.[5] He is buried in the East Woodstock Cemetery in Woodstock, Windham County, Connecticut.[6]
