Biography
Helena Lyon was born on 10 January 1803 in Ludlow, Massachusetts. She was the daughter of Gad Stebbins Lyon and Jerusha Beebe Kendall.
Helena's father died in 1815, and Helena Lyon is placed under the guardianship of her uncle Aaron Carver --- Her brother Homer Lyon is placed under the guardianship of his uncle Nathaniel Lyon.[1]
Austin Carver of Granby and Helena Lyon of Ludlow declare their intentions of marriage 1 Dec 1821 in Granby --- They are first cousins and step-siblings.[2]
