Richar Lyon "of Fairfield" wrote his will 12 April 1678[4] and his inventory was taken on 17 October 1678.[4]
On March 10 1723/24, William Odell who married Abigail Smith, one of the granddaughters of Richard Lyon through Abigail's mother, informed the Fairfield court that there was commonage land that had belonged to Richard Lyon and had not been distributed. It was to be distributed equally between the nine children of Richard. Six of the children were deceased at the time, Moses, William, Joseph, Esther, Elizabeth, and Abigail. The surviving children, Richard, Samuel, and Hannah would each get an equal share. The heirs of the deceased children would get the deceased share.
Moses left no heirs. William's heirs are Nathaniel's (deceased) children, William and Benjamin Lyon. Joseph's heirs are Joseph and David Lyon (deceased). Esther's heirs were Joseph Perry, Mary Downes, and Samuel Gruman. Elizabeth's heirs were Benjamin Banks, Joseph Banks, and Elizabeth Davis.
And Abigail's heir Abigail Smith was the wife of William Odell.[5]

Addendum to above comment: After reading about the DNA evidence as it relates to Thomas, Henry and Richard Lyon (under Thomas' entry), I will not connect them as siblings, as the DNA evidence seems to eliminate that supposition.
Richard is my 8th GGF, through his son Samuel. According to sources including the Lyon Memorial, Families of Connecticut and New Jersey," by Sidney Elizabeth Lyon, he was one of three brothers (Thomas, Henry and Richard) in Cromwell's Army who fled England shortly after the end of the Second English Civil War, after being present at the regicide of Charles I, who'd been convicted of treason.
I will connect his brother Thomas (Lyon-79) Notably, Thomas married Martha Johanna Winthrop, granddaughter of Massachusetts Governor John Withrop.
