Brief Life History of Rebbeca (https://www.familysearch.org/tree/person/about/LBNP-WR8) Rebbeca LYON was born about 1728, in Essex, New Jersey, British Colonial America as the daughter of Joseph Lyon and Rebecca Littell. She had at least 4 sons and 1 daughter with Thomas Clark. She died after 1770.
Genealogies of the first settlers of Passaic Valley, New Jersey Originally published in 1852, the author states that, "Wherever family records could be obtained, they have been used; but in most cases no such record could be had. I therefore had to depend on the memory of some one or more of the family. With the exception of one or two, every family may be traced back to some branch that lived in Passaic Valley previous to the year 1800."
