Betty Lyons was born in October 12, 1933 in San Antonio, Texas and was the second oldest of four children. Her family moved to San Bernardino, California when she was a young girl. She attended San Bernardino High School and graduated in 1950(?), working at the San Bernardino County Hall of Records and as a secretary for the San Bernardino County School District. In 1972 she became the Credentials Officer for the San Bernardino Superintendent of Schools office and retired on July 15, 1988.
She married Elliott Burke on February 14, 1954 and had three children.
She became a Certified Professional Secretary and received a certificate on October 26, 1968.
She passed away on February 25, 2004 in her home in Highland, California and was interred at Mt. View Cemetery in San Bernardino, California. [1]
