Janet MacDougal was born about 1729 in Argyleshire, Scotland. She was the daughter of Daniel McDougal and his wife.

She was baptised on 30 March 1729 in Dalziel, Lanark, Scotland.

She emigrated to America with her husband Daniel Williamson about 1756.

Marriage Janet MacDougal was married to her 1st husband Daniel Williamson about 1755 in Argyleshire, Scotland.

2. Charles Stewart b. 16 JAN 1761 in Bladen County, North Carolina, USA. Charles accompanied Duncan and James to Tennessee, but later moved to Wilkiknson County, Mississippi. [9][10]
3. Duncan Stewart, twin, b. 1763 in Bladen County, North Carolina, was christened TWIN TO JAMES, died on 26 Nov 1820 in Wilkinson County, Mississippi at age 57, and was buried in 1820 in Stewart Two Cemetery, Wilkinson Co., MS. [11][12]
4. James Stewart, Twin, born in 1763 in Bladen County, North Carolina, christened TWIN TO DUNCAN, died in 1818 in Woodville, Wilkinson County, Mississippi at age 55. James was buried in 1818 in Stewart Two Cemetery, Wilkinson Co., MS. James also attended [13] [14]
1797 James, Duncan and Charles went to Tennessee, then later Charles and Duncan moved to Wilkinson Co., Mississippi.[15]
5. Jannett Stewart was born in 1765 in Bladen County, North Carolina. [16]
6. Ann Stewart. b 1767.
7. Elizabeth Stewart. b. 1769.
8. Eleanor Stewart. b. 1771.
