Biography

Patrick Adolach (or Aulach) MacGregor was the second son of Gregor MacGregor and Isabel Cameron, of Stronhead. [1]

He was executed at Edinburgh in Feb 1604. [1]

The Drumonds, known as the MacGregors of Bows are descended from Patrick. [1]

1 - He was brought up in Atholl thus Adolach. He was hanged at Edinburgh in 1604 with Alasdair the 11th Chief. However he does not appear in the Horning List, so may have been one of the hostages for the Clans good behaviour.
2 - Patrick, called Adholach because brought up in Atholl; hanged at Edinburgh with the 11th Chief, 20 Jan 1604; three of his sons took the name of Livingstone and two that of Balfour.

Hello Maria and David, the birth date for Patrick (this profile) and/or death date for his father need to be reviewed. The father is supposed to have died in 1552, but I'm not sure how reliable that is. Thanks, Gillian

MacGregor-196 and MacGregor-153 appear to represent the same person because: These both seem to be the son of Gregor MacGregor of Ardchoille, First Chief of Children of the Mist. The fathers still need to be sorted out, as they may not be duplicates (see comment posted on Gregor MacGregor. Thanks for reviewing.
