Biography

Patrick Adolach (or Aulach) MacGregor was the second son of Gregor MacGregor and Isabel Cameron, of Stronhead. ^[1]

He was executed at Edinburgh in Feb 1604. ^[1]

The Drumonds, known as the MacGregors of Bows are descended from Patrick. ^[1]

1 - He was brought up in Atholl thus Adolach. He was hanged at Edinburgh in 1604 with Alasdair the 11th Chief. However he does not appear in the Horning List, so may have been one of the hostages for the Clans good behaviour.

2 - Patrick, called Adholach because brought up in Atholl; hanged at Edinburgh with the 11th Chief, 20 Jan 1604; three of his sons took the name of Livingstone and two that of Balfour.
