Stephen, born about 1779, was the son of Samuel Mackay. He married Marie Francoise Globensky and settled in Saint-Eustache, where he died in 1859 survived by several children.[1]
During the War of 1812, Stephen served in the 1st Battalion Embodied Militia of Lower Canada (Quebec) and was present at the Battle of Chateauguay.[2]
