Biography
Thomas (Macdowall) Macdowall Younger of Garthland was killed in Action during the War of the League of Cambrai at the Battle of Flodden Field.

Thomas Macdowall, younger of Garthland was the son of Uchtred Macdowall, 7th of Garthland and Isobell Gordon.
He married Isobell Stewart, daughter of Sir Alexander Stewart, 4th of Garlies. They had issue:
- Uchtred, 8th of Garthland d. c 1531
Thomas was killed in action at the Battle of Flodden on 9 September 1513.[1]

- As he was of age to do battle on 9 Sep 1513, one can be certain he was at least 18 if not of full age placing his birth prior to 9 Sep 1495.
