Biography

Dorothy was born in Cardiff on 22 June 1928.^[1][2] She was the daughter of Ernest Mace and Gertrude Dyer.^[3]

1939 - here

On 27 May 1950 she married Denis William Jones in Cardiff.^[4] They had three children, two sons followed by a daughter.

In 1957 the family moved to Canada for about a year before returning to Cardiff. ^[5] Their outbound journey was "inconvenienced" by the sinking of the John Pratt.^[6]

After Denis's death, Dorothy was married to Joseph Bell^[7] (1984- ) and in the late 1980s she spent a year in New Zealand, where she met her companion Jack.^[8]

Dorothy died on 4 July 1998 in Cardiff,^[9] she is buried in the Western Cemetery with Denis.^[10]
