He is noticed in Ferguson's work[1] in the Marriage Register of the Scots Brigade as a witness to a contract of marriage, 16 Sep 1729 at Breda, between Private Mordoach Mackay, of Lieutenant Colonel Cuninghame's company, and Katherine de Broun, stated to the widow of Nicolas Minge a soldier of Colonel Mohr's Regiment (possibly Deutschmeister Infantry Regiment of Holy Roman Empire).
Witness to the contract to marriage were Corporal Donald Mackay, a Corporal in Brigadier Cuninghame's company, and Corporal David Willemens, a Corporal in Lieutenant Colonel Cuninghame's company.
He is again noticed in Ferguson's work[2] in the Marriage Register of the Scots Brigade as a witness to a contract of marriage, 16 Sep 1729 at Breda, between Private Donald Nicolson, of Lieutenant Colonel Cuninghame's company, and Gysbertina Adams, stated to be a young woman of Breda. The other witness was Corporal William MacDonald, of Major Lamy's Company.
