Elizabeth was born about 1655 as the daughter of Captain William Mackay of Borley and his wife Elizabeth Corbet, the daughter of Alexander Corbet of Arkboll, Ross.
She received sasine on disposition in life-rent of his lands of Sandwood, etc., 28 May 1679 from her father. It is from her that the lands of Sandwood, and thus the Sandwood Mackays are derived.[1] This relationship is also noticed in the History of the House and Clan of Mackay.[2]
thirdly, John Grey of Rhine, Rogart, who gave her sasine in life-rent of the lands of Rhine in virtue of their contract of marriage, 2nd December, 1707.
Her death is not recorded but certainly after December 1707.
