He was the son of Major Charles Wilberforce Maclean and Frances Elaine Gladys (Gladys) Royle.[1]He married the Hon. Veronica Nell Fraser, daughter of Simon Joseph Fraser, 14th Lord (Fraser of) Lovat and the Hon. Laura Lister; and widow of the late Alan Phipps on the 12th of January 1946.[1]He died on the 15th of June 1996 at age 85 at Hertford, Hertfordshire, England.[2]
