Biography

Blondell Madden Booth, born in Geneva Co., AL, but was raised in the Laurel Hill, Okaloosa Co., FL area. A daughter of Frederick Richard "Fred" Madden & Willie Gautney, both also interred at Almarante. She was a granddaughter of Dee Richard Madden & Delia Anne Grimes and William 'Willi' Gautney & Mary Frances 'Fannie' Stanford.
Blondell married John David "JD" Booth on 19 Nov 1945 in Covington Co., AL... Later they moved down to the Hernando/Citrus Co.'s FL area, where Blondell passed away in Hernando Co., and "JD" passed away in Inverness, Citrus Co.
Brothers and sisters of Blondell were: Levada born 1916, Theodore born 1919, Raymond born 1920, Annis born 1923 married Thad Harper, James born 1925, Illa Merle born 1927 married Elum 'Dutch' Qualls, Harold H born abt 1943 married Gladys Stewart & sister Mozell.
Blondell's sister, Illa Merle and her husband, Dutch Qualls always resided next door in Laurel Hill, to my husband's parents, Jim & Lillie Pearl Gilmore, with all the children growing up together and thinking that they were cousins, and thereby calling the parents of each, Aunt and Uncle... not knowing differently til after they were grown too... Turns out, that Blondell & Merle & all their Madden's, were actually 'my' cousins for real... as was found after we were married... my father-n-law, Jim Gilmore, was the one that let me in on the news... and my mother verified it... so ironic...
