In the 1900 census William (age 40), Coal Digger, was the married head of household in Mount Pleasant Ward 1, Westmoreland, Pennsylvania.[1]

In the 1910 census William, Laborer, was the married head of household in MT Pleasant boro Ward 1, Westmoreland, Pennsylvania, United States.[2]

Hi Suzanne, I think that the parents of William may be a different John and Ellen Madden than the parents of Ellen Mary Madden (abt.1853-) and Eliza Ann Madden (abt.1859-). Is it ok if I separate out the two families? Thanks.

Madden-1404 and Madden-144 appear to represent the same person because: Seem to be the same wife and son, although some discrepancies in dates. More sources needed to confirm these are duplicates. Thanks for reviewing.
