By the way "Sherwood" is an undocumented name for Elizabeth (http://www.wikitree.com/wiki/Sherwood-392) -- nobody's ever produced proof of it being her name.... but regardless of that, considering two people related because one person has the name Sherman and the other has the name Sherwood isn't really a great idea.... it's not really evidence of anything at all. :(

there is no record of John Maddox and his wife Elizabeth ever living in Maryland. Please provide a citation connecting a Benjamin Maddox b. in Somerset with Maddox-214 and his wife Elizabeth -- or perhaps the Benjamin b. in Somerset is a different Benjamin?

Maddox-913 and Maddox-177 appear to represent the same person because: hey there...pretty sure this is the same fella, but i can't merge cus i'm not on your trusted list....please merge or add me so i can.....hard to find sources for him....only 1 i have been able to find was an 1810 census and they screwed up and had benjamen sherman instead of sherwood..if u merge please add this record...Status: MARRIED
