Biography
Sarah C. "Sallie" Maguire was born in September 1859 in Tallapoosa County, Alabama. She was the daughter of Wiley W McGuire and Ary Ann Irvin.
On 16 August 1876, Sallie married William Manson Simpson in Tallapoosa County.
In the 1900 US Census, Sallie and William are living in New Site, Tallapoosa County. Living in their household are four children, Arie S. age 16, John W. age 12, Willie B. age 4, and Ruben M. age 2. Sallie stated that she was the mother of 7 children, of which only 5 were living. Also living in their household was Sallie's widowed mother.
Sallie passed away before 20 March 1901, which is when William married again, and no further records for Sallie could be found.
