Biography

Sarah (Maloney) Massey was born in Yorkshire, England.

Sarah was born in December 1904. ^[1] She was the daughter of Edward Maloney and Sarah Elizabeth (Wild) Maloney.

In 1911 she is living in Eston, near Middlesborough with her parents and siblings. ^[2]

In 1924 she married Evan Massey, likely in Eston (registered in Middlesborough). ^[3]

Evan died in 1936 and in 1939 she is still in Eston. They had at least two children Edna in 1929 and Dennis in 1932. Father Edward Maloney, now widowed is also in the household and working as a Wharf Labourer.

Sarah passed away in 1941, age 36, ^[4] and was buried in Eston Cemetery. ^[5]

Research Notes Her date of birth is recorded as 19 December 1903 on the 1939 Register, however her birth was registered on GRO in the first quarter of 1905. I have therefore input her birth as 19 December 1904.
