Biography
Charles Benjamin Maltbie was born on 20 May 1821 in Norfolk, Litchfield, Connecticut, United States, son of Elon Maltby (1783–1865) [1] and Hannah Osborn (1786–1873). [2]
Charles (27) married Elizabeth Higley (25) (born on December 14, 1822 in Canaan; daughter of Simeon Higley II and Wealthy (Noble) Higley) on May 22, 1848 in Litchfield Co., Connecticut.
Charles died on 10 May 1884 in Connecticut, aged 63. [3]
He was buried in Sand Hill Cemetery, South Canaan, Litchfield County, Connecticut. [4]
