Title
Judge
Note
"Judge of the county court for 12 years until death"
There is a second William Malby contemporary with this one, first cousins. They should be researched together to ensure that they have been correctly recorded. From the will of John Maltby of East Retford this other William's father Robert had moved from East Retford to Bawtry in 1647.
This removal makes that William Malby a more likley husband for Rachel (Williamson) Maltby than this William Malby who is said to be the one who emigrated to America.
