In 1817, when he registered for the draft, Frederick was a Steam fitter at DuPont Fabrikoid Co. He was tall, slender, with blue eyes and light hair. The 1930 and 1940 Census shows him as a carpenter.
HIs only child, Fredrick Bronson Maney was killed in World War 2 and Frederick Smith Maney died a year later.
