Mary, daughter of Lowry Mann and Mary Elizabeth Bell, was born on 18 November 1860 and baptised on 5 February 1861 in Wallasey, Cheshire, England.[1]
In the 1871 census Mary (age 10), Scholar, was in the household of her grandfather Robert Bell (along with her parents and three servants) in Liscard, Cheshire, England.[2]
