"Jacob Mann III, son of Jacob and Mary (Kessinger/Kissinger) Mann was born 22 Jun 1783 died 27 Feb 1866 married 21 Jul 1804 (Emily) Millie Ballard born 1787-3 Feb 1850, daughter of William and Elizabeth (Steppe) Ballard. They had 8 children:

  • 1. Celia Steppe Mann 1805-1886 married John Houchins 1799-1855 21 Aug 1824
  • 2. Gholston Man 1807-1874 married 1st 19 Apr 1833 Nancy Halstead, married 2nd in 1866 Delilah Miller
  • 3. Mary Ann Mann 1811 married 9 Mar 1855 William Wiseman, son of Joseph and Margaret (Miller) Wiseman
  • 4. John Morris Mann born 1821 died 10 may 1909 married Jane Stephenson.

My Note: Thomas Nathan Clark says in his book "Before Amanda" that John Morris Mann was the son of Adam Mann and Nancy Harvey
