There is conflicting information on the maiden name of Frances. Some sources say her maiden name is DeSaussure or DeShazo (Asbell Connections is one of them). Others say she is the illegitimate daughter of Mary Mann. More research is needed.
Can you add any information on Frances Mann? Please help grow her WikiTree profile. Everything you see here is a collaborative work-in-progress.

DNA Connections
It may be possible to confirm family relationships with Frances by comparing test results with other carriers of her mitochondrial DNA.
However, there are no known mtDNA test-takers in her direct maternal line.
It is likely that these autosomal DNA test-takers will share some percentage of DNA with Frances:
As a member of the US Black Heritage Project, I have added a list of the slaves owned by Fanny Asbill on this profile with categories using the standards of the US Black Heritage Exchange Program. This helps us connect enslaved ancestors to their descendants. See the Heritage Exchange Portal for more information.
