Biography

Susanna Mann was born on January 15, 1736 in Smithfield, RI.^[1] Her parents were Daniel Mann and Jerusha Mowry.

She married first James Brown on 20 April 1755 in Smithfield.^[2]

They had the following children:

1. Richard Brown^[3]
2. Andrew Brown^[4]
3. Lydia Brown^[5]
4. William Brown^[6]
5. Joseph Brown^[7]
6. James Brown^[8]

She married second Nedabiah Olney in 1773.

Together they had the following children:

1. Jesse Olney
2. Daniel Olney
3. Davis Olney
4. Daughter Olney
5. Daughter Olney

She died in 1799.

Older sources say Susan Brown was the mother of Nedabiah's children; many say Susanna Mann was. Since Nedabiah married Susan 2nd (about a year after Susanna), and yet all the children are usually listed under Susanna today, and since Susan Brown has no lineage, there's a pretty good chance that these two women are one and the same person.
