Obituary

Eileen M. Paris, 80, of Fort Dodge, died Thursday, January 18, 2007 at the Fort Dodge Villa Care Center. Funeral services will be 10:00 a.m. Thursday, January 25th in the chapel of Laufersweiler-Sievers Funeral Home and 10:30 a.m. at Sacred Heart Church with Rev. Edward Girres officiating at the Mass of Christian Burial. Burial will be in Corpus Christi Cemetery. Visitation will be after 4:00 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home where there will be a vigil at 7:00 p.m.Surviving is her husband, Thomas; daughters, Renee (Jim) Hazelwood of Aurora, CO, Coleen (David) Bacon of Kearney, Neb.; grandchildren, Rachel Hazelwood and Austin and Dane Bacon; sisters, Geraldine Kayser of Fort Dodge, Evelyn DeLanoit of Fort Dodge, Leona Mickelson of Webster City, Roberta Nassen of Fort Dodge. She was preceded in death by her parents, Earl and Mary (Brennan) Mann; a sister, Donna Abrams; and her brother, John Mann. Eileen M. Mann was born April 7, 1926 on the family farm in rural Fort Dodge. She graduated from Sacred Heart High School in 1943. Following her education, she became employed at Tobin Pack in the business office. On April 16, 1947 she was united in marriage to Thomas Paris at Sacred Heart Church and they established their home in Fort Dodge. In 1963 they moved to North Platte, NE where they established a dental laboratory in which she worked with her husband until 1991 when they retired. Following their retirement, they returned to Fort Dodge to be near family. Eileen was a former member of the American Legion Auxiliary and the Does in the Elks Lodge in North Platte. Memorials may be left to the discretion of the family.
