Biography

Ivan was born in 1883 to John Mann and Mary Purdy. ^[1]

Appeared in the 1891 Canada Census in North Gwillimbury, York, Ontario. The household included: John age 36, born in England, occupation farmer; Sarah age 34, born in Ontario; Ivan age 8; Helen age 1.

Appeared in the 1901 Canada Census in North Gwillimbury, York, Ontario. The household included: John age 46, occupation farmer; Sara age 46; Ivan age 18; Helen age 11; Alice age 9: Luella age 7.

He married Leo York in 1907 ^[2] and they had, at least, two children.

Appeared in the 1911 Canada Census in Penetanguishene, Simcoe, Ontario. The household included: Ivan age 28, occupation brick layer; Leo age 28; Audrey age 3; Ana age 1.

Ivan died in 1963. He is buried in Queensville Cemetery, Queensville, York, Ontario. ^[3]
