What's our source for date and cause of death?

Deathplace perhaps a garble for Tournai? (Presently in Belgium, but perhaps Hainaut was France at the time?) It's garbled differently in the prose bio vs our searchable database.

Deathdate shortly after siege of Tournai during reign of Henry VIII: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Battle_of_the_Spurs

Other family connections to Tournai:

  • Fairfax of Walton (East Riding, Yorkshire) is knighted in Tournai in October after the battle. Perhaps a cousin of Manners' brother-in-law?
  • This man's daughter Eleanor married into Bourchier family-- which included Henry Bourchier-117, 2nd Earl of Essex. He was one of the commanders at Tournai. The Bourchier family is complex has various branches down from common ancestor who fought at Agincourt with Henry V:

All of which is to say, I'd look at Tournai or death in aftermath of Battle of the Spurs?

Manners-210 and Manners-23 appear to represent the same person because: Looks like accidental creation of a duplicate.
