Badorah was born in 1805. She was the daughter of Daniel Marble and Mehitable Smith.
Badorah married Hart Lee Marsh in 1822.[1] They had eight children.
In 1850, the family was in Perrysburg, Cattaraugus, New York.[2] By 1855, they moved to the Hanover and Irving area of Chautauqua county. They were on the 1855 Hanover, Chautauqua, New York census[3] and the 1860 Irving, Chautauqua county, New York census.[4] The 1865 census for Hanover listed her as born in Madison county, New York and that she was the mother of nine children.[5] She and Hart were on the 1870 Hanover, Chautauqua, New York census, living next to son Daniel Marsh.[6]
Hart passed away in 1873. In 1875, she was living in Hanover with her granddaughter Julia (Fuller) Watts and husband William Watts.[7] In 1880, Badora, listed as "Dora", was living with daughter Sophronia (Marsh) Fuller in Irving.[8]
She passed away in 1891 according to an obituary published in the Hanover (NY) Gazette:[9]
"OBITUARY
-Died, Feb. 12th, at her son's residence in Perrysburg, N.Y., Mrs. Badorah Marble Marsh. The deceased was born in Cassanovia, Monroe Co., N. Y., April 5th, 1805. She married Hart Lee Marsh in 1822. At an early age she was converted, and has been a consistent member of the church 65 years. She was kind and generous always and ready to lend a helping hand to the needy, and freely gave to the Master's cause. Unless illness preventing she was always found in her place at divine worship. For the past two years she has been a great sufferer, and was confined to the house; and often said she was ready and willing whenever the summons came. She is the last member of a large family. She came to the town of Perrysburg with her husband sixty years ago, and was one of the pioneers of Parkertown. They settled and cleared the farm adjoining the old high bridge. She was the mother of eight children, six of whom are living to mourn her loss: Daniel Marsh of Valley Junction, Wis.; Mrs. Amos Clark of Truxton, Mo.; Nathan Marsh, of Perrysburg; Mrs. H. J. Newton and Mrs. A. C. Fuller of Silver Creek; Mrs. H. Newton of Buffalo; also numerous descendents consisting of ?? grand children, 33 great-grand-chiidren, and 1 great-great-grand-child."
