Daniel Marchant was born 16 Nov 1721 in Gloucester, Essex, Massachusetts. He was the son of Jabez (Marchant) Merchant and Mary Butman.[1] The surname is generally spelled Marchant but some records also use Merchant.
He died before 1779 in Gloucester, Essex, Massachusetts based on the fact that records show his widow, Hannah Marchant died of putrid fever (i.e., Typhus Fever), May 19, 1779, aged 56 years.[2]
